Welcome to EFCE 696th Event
Dear ISIC 18 participants:
Thank you all for travelling to Zurich and attending ISIC 18.
With 380 participants, 300 scientific contributions, of which 90 oral presentations and 200 posters, 16 sponsors and exhibitors, more than 150 participants in the 3 training tutorials offered for the first time the day before the conference ISIC 18 has certainly lived up to the expectations. There have been fascinating talks, stimulating posters, animated discussions. The field of crystallization has demonstrated once more to be rich with important open issues, from fundamental aspects to applications, covering a broad spectrum of disciplines from chemistry to physics, from mathematics to material sciences. It is also clear that newer and newer tools have been and are being developed that will provide unprecedented opportunities to tackle these challenges. Therefore, crystallization appears once more to be a wonderful field to be active in, for both young and less young scientists and practitioners.
Looking forward to the crystallization conferences in 2012 and to the next ISIC 19, in Toulouse in September 2014, we wish you, your families and your associates health, peace and success.
